Based on current five-cycle EPA testing, the 2012 Nissan LEAF can travel and enviable 73 miles. While this is impressive, Nissan is not stopping there.  They know with the right changes, they can be hitting 100 miles. Afterall, Nissan is committed to bringing the best in 'green' vehicles.

As a result, Nissan intends to equip the 2013 LEAF with a redesigned battery pack and more efficient electric motor. With these two features joining forces, we can expect to see a 25-percent longer driving range for the LEAF. When looking at the numbers the LEAF currently boasts, you get a combined (city and highway) of 73 miles.  That should be increased to 90 miles in the 2013.

We here at Yark Nissan support Nissan's initiatives. What's more is that Nissan has additional ideas and goals up its sleeve. Not only will there be improved fuel economy, but you can relax in leather seats and feel secure with the new 6.6-kilowatt charger.

Now you probably want to know when this super Electric Vehicle will be available for sale?

As of right now, there hasn't been any official statements on its release. We here at Yark Nissan will be paying close attention for this information and once we receive it, we will post it here on our blog. Make sure to check back often for all of the latest updates.

In the meantime, you can check out our current new Nissan models. You can find them online and in person at 5957 West Central Ave Toledo, OH 43615.
