Are you a racing video game fan that also loves Nissan? Then chances are you already know about the SPIKE TV series that Yark Nissan is very excited about. Nissan GT Academy pits 16 lucky gamers against each other at the Silverstone Racing complex in England for the chance to hit the track with pro-racing stars like Danny Sullivan, Maryeve Dufault, and Boris Said. It's an exciting opportunity for these racing aficionados, and there's even a chance for the program's winner to earn their international competition license and get on the track for an actual race.

Airing on Thursday nights, the show began with about 400,000 Gran Turismo online gamers, and narrowed the expansive field down to the top 32. There, skilled online racers competed in a series of exciting heats on the PlayStation 3 gaming console at Comic Con to determine the top 16 gamers who would move on to the actual televised competition.

If you miss the show on Thursdays, it airs again the week following on MTV2, and is available on Nissan's YouTube channel the Monday after its original air. The program is an enthralling experience, and we encourage checkered-flag fans in the greater Toledo area to check it out.

If the Nissan GT Academy inspires you to modify your new Nissan model, come see the people at 5957 West Central Ave. Toledo, OH 43615 to hear all about our Nissan parts or Nissan service department.
